The brief for this invitation suite was to create a design which captured the colours, texture and softness of garden botanicals and would fit perfectly in a minimal, modern glasshouse wedding.

The Invitation The Day-Of-Details The Wedding WeekendTheme
Minimal Botanical Green Black White Glasshouse ModernLiving in the heart of the North Yorkshire countryside means that nature provides all-year round inspiration for my designs. We have a beautiful mile-long country lane that loops around our village that has been lined with dandelions that I’ve been wanting to use and capture for the last few months.
I visited Petersham Nurseries in Richmond earlier this year whilst visiting my brother and his girlfriend, and absolutely loved it. They have a series of beautiful glasshouses filled with select treasures and tea rooms, and they also hold weddings. It’s the most beautiful event space for anyone looking for a relaxed, sophisticated wedding which champions local suppliers and responsibly sourced ingredients.
This suite was designed with the venue in mind. Soft greens, with hand-illustrated dandelions echo the softness and multiple textures found in the garden nurseries, whilst the minimal black typography and thin black cord embellishments are a reflection of the elegant thin black frames of the glasshouses.
I love designing for couples who have chosen to have a weekend of wedding celebrations. This suite was designed for a weekend of wedding celebrations, and includes a stacked, digitally printed, 3-piece invitation - each card detailing one day of the wedding weekend plans. Guests receive a 4-piece RSVP booklet tied together with minimal black cord, with an RSVP option for each day of the weekend. The whole suite is secured with a custom digitally printed 170gsm vellum wrap and finished with a thin gold twine.
The concept flowed across to several day-of stationery goods including name cards and custom-cut vellum seed packet favours detailed with a quote ‘if you plant seeds of love, flowers of happiness will grow’. The seed packets were finished with the bride and groom’s initials and wedding date - the perfect wedding favour for a floral or botanical themed wedding.
The suite was beautifully photographed and styled by Jess (Jessica Reeve Photography).
